These quotations have some thing to say!

"It's not that some people have willpower and some don't. It's that some people are ready to change and others are not."      " James Gordon"

"I think about how there are certain people who come into your life and leave a mark. The ones who are as much a part of you as your own soul. Their place in your heart is tender; a bruise of longing, a pulse of unfinished business. Just hearing their names pushes and pulls at you in a hundred ways, and when you try to define those hundred ways, describe them even to yourself, words are useless. If you had a lifetime to talk, there would still be things left unsaid."   " Sara Zar"

"The secret of all success is to know how to deny yourself. Prove that you can control yourself, and you are an educated man; and without this all other education is good for nothing."   " R.D. Hitchcock"

"Almost everything: all external expectations, all pride all fear of embarrassment or failure. These things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose." " Steve Jobs"

A Joke A Day!

An Amish boy and his father were visiting a nearby mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny silver walls that moved apart and back together again by themselves.
The lad asked, "What is this, father?"

The father, having never seen an elevator, responded, "I have no idea what it is."

While the boy and his father were watching wide-eyed, an old lady in a wheelchair rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched as small circles lit up above the walls.

The walls opened up again and a beautiful twenty-four-year-old woman stepped out.

The father looked at his son anxiously and said, "Go get your mother."

This is true

"It is very difficult to know people and I don't think one can ever really know any but one's own countrymen. For men and women are not only themselves; they are also the region in which they are born, the city apartment or the farm in which they learnt to walk, the games they played as children, the old wives' tales they overheard, the food they ate, the schools they attended, the sports they followed, the poets they read, and the God they believed in. It is all these things that have made them what they are, and these are the things that you can't come to know by hearsay, you can only know them if you have lived them."

perfectionism

I am thinking over and over again i am professionally perfect for something ...and be recognized all over the world.....i lately understood that i am perfect today.....and that there are no ends for perfectionism.

Here are what some people have to say about it:

"Perfectionism is simply putting a limit on your future. When you have an idea of perfect in your mind, you open the door to constantly comparing what you have now with what you want. That type of self criticism is significantly deterring." John Eliot, Ph.D.,

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

Perfection is a road, not a destination. Every time I live, I get an education.
Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1900 - 1944)

Assert your right to make a few mistakes. If people can't accept your imperfections, that's their fault.

I do think imperfection's underrated.

A Joke A Day

A mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known heart surgeon in his shop.
The surgeon was there, waiting for the service manager to come and take a look at his bike.
The mechanic shouted across the garage, "Hey, Doc, can I ask you a question?"

The surgeon a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take valves out, fix 'em, put 'em back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I get such a small salary and you get the really big bucks, when you and I are doing basically the same work?"

The surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over, and whispered to the mechanic...
"Try doing it with the engine running."

Finding Impact Zone through Information Management

The world we are living in now is like a digital world. A digital world referred to is "a globalized world where one find important the wise use of multi-source information to making interconnectedness across the glob possible".  For a professional staff like me, the issue is more than that. It is a part of personal management thing, gaining momentum to influence decision makings, finding leverage points for skill and knowledge up-gradation, but not least, its like graining synergy from the spirit that come out of ways of collaborative teamworks.

Now, thanks to the technological advancements everywhere, we have a wide array of web based tools, cyberspaces, storage links, news feeds etc that make it possible easy ways of both personal and institutional information dissemination and accessing.

Some development oriented organizations like CTA and C4C (IICD)  have recently initiated program in Ethiopia that aimed at improving communication gaps among development practitioners, rural farmers and urban dwellers. This initiation ultimately will have impacts in household and community capital asset improvements while expected to improve institutional way of doing things at an other end.

With that sprit, this blog site is designed by the author, Mr.Micheas Yacob mainly as a part of personal promotional project and of coarse to encourage others to do so.

If you have question, suggestions and comments, please don't hesitate to ask?
